Evening just made...

Walking out of class...
"So, are you teaching right now?" (one girl who was walking with another to me)
me: "No, I did teach."
"Here?"
me: "No, I taught in Chicago."
"OOOooo, how was that?"
me: "I loved it, I can't wait to get back."
"How long did you teach there?"
me: "2 1/2 years."
"Wait. How old are you?" (NO hesitation whatsoever)
me looking back at her: "I turn thirty on Thursday."
"NO WAY!!!" (this was collective between the two of them)
me: "Thanks, I've been having a rough week dealing with that...I appreciate it!!"
"I would have said you were 21." (one girl comments)

My crabby mood for the day was lifted quite significantly after this conversation. :)
