Going to the Police Station to be fingerprinted for OR & WA and the little uniformed officer recognizes you.
There is a mini-moment of quasi-recognition, but when he says "Sunshine, right?" my "Yeah, HI!" is merely an attempt to feign my remembrance.
I am pretty sure he is a boy I made out with at some point here in EC.
He was so embarrassed and taken aback having to "hold my hand" and work my fingers on the screen-thingy that he couldn't even look me in the eye as I cheerfully wished him a great day and said thanks.
Oh the joys of small-town living that I will miss.
HA!!!
Though, immediately after, I went to the grocery store where 5 of my ex-memorial students were chowing lunch down, one said hi, and was waved at by another, and I heard a :Hi Ms. McFaul!" from another...I will miss that!!
Awkward...
